Are you able to get from the floor to standing with ease?
Ground to standing is a part of our daily movement pattern but so many clients have difficulty getting up off the floor or off the sofa. We need to do more work on this area.
We are born with natural instincts to slither then crawl and then walk but now half my clients can’t get up off the ground with out difficulty.

I have a 78 year old client that works out with a trainer three times a week but she still can’t get off the bench or chair or the floor without holding onto something. She is using her upper body to get off the floor as the body will take the path of least resistance. The end result is inefficient movement patterns that we start creating. If you don’t lose it…you lose it. If you don’t use your legs to get up to standing then you may want to begin focusing on your strength training and mobility training as well as what movements you do each day. How can you improve how you move?
