Some of you may know that I USED to compete as an ambitious, driven, high performing age group triathlete and endurance athlete until March 2013. I completed my first long distance cycling event about 20 years ago (Seattle to Portland bike ride) and Danskin Triathlon almost 25 years ago! My first of 15 Ironman Triathlons was in Penticton, B.C. for Ironman Canda in August 2001. My last Ironman was in Kona, Hawaii for Ironman Hawaii.
How do you know when you are improving your performance- getting faster, stronger and leaner?
- We measure your progress using a heart rate monitor, power meter, speed, distance and time.
- We measure our weight and body fat percentage each week or month – or some people daily!
- We track our workouts in programs as Training Peaks and measure our improvements.
- We maybe measure our recovery with Heart Rate Variability measurements in the morning upon waking.
- We may do a monthly MAF test to check in our progress by getting faster at one heart rate – Max Aerobic Function test created by Phil Maffetone.
BUT how do we take this information we collect and know when we are over training and under recoverying?
How do see and not avoid the RED FLAGS being flown in front of your face while you are swimming, biking, running or doing other life activities?
When do you know to SLOW DOWN, RESET and REBOOT the WHOLE you??
When should you modify your scheduled training schedule and workouts – or life schedule when you are starting to feel signs of chronic fatigue, breakdown and burnout?
How do most ambitious, driven, high performing athletes of all levels seem to ignore and over ride their RED FLAGS?
TEST and NOT GUESS two times a year to track your progress to improve your performance AND longevity.
We should not only focus on achieving peak performance gains this season- but what does our future look like ahead of us??
Longevity.
We should be also concerned about what we are doing NOW to improve our later years in life.
I know I want to be thriving each day in life and traveling the world.
Let me know if you want to chat about how you can avoid digging yourself into a deep hole leading towards “METABOLIC CHAOS” and a long road to recovery.
I love to collect clues on my clients using various sources in our investigation- as Nutritional Therapy Assessments, Metabolic Chaos Scorecard, Genetic reports as DNAFit or Strategene and Functional Lab Tests.
- Keto Mojo to measure ketones and glucose
- Nutrisense for 2-week evaluation of continious glucose
- Great Plains Organic Acids Test (OATs)
- DUTCH Complete for hormones
- GI Map for pathogens and gut imbalances
- BiomeFx for microbiome imbalances
- Vibrant Wellness or MRT for food sensitivities

My mission is to help YOU avoid going down the wrong road and digging yourself into a major hole you can’t climb out off on your own.
Avoid going through what I have had happen to my body systems since 2013…breakdown and burnout of most all body systems starting at the cellular level.
TEST and not GUESS…but remember we (FDN Practitioners) do not treat the lab results. We collect clues from various intake forms and functional lab tests to gain insights to your individual case of METABOLIC CHAOS.
Everyone is unique! We all have different thumbprints …our microbiome and genetic make up is all slightly different.
Learn more with a discovery call with me…complimentary 20-minute call.
I look forward to hearing about your story, your why and your “areas of opportunity”! Please don’t continue down the path towards chronic fatigue, unexplained weight gain, mood swings, depression, inflammation and the list of odd symptoms continues!
