The holidays are coming up – very quickly.
Tis the season, or year, that people are spending more time indoors, eating more and less active. We don’t have to gain the average 7 pounds of fat weight from Thanksgiving (or even starting at Halloween…or since March 2020 quarantine!).
We have a choice.
We can choose to be more active, lift heavy things (with good form!), get ourselves to bed early and eat nutrient dense whole foods to provide us with energy and satiety.
Perhaps the holiday season comes with an increased consumption of baked cookies and holiday traditions… what do you if you want to have a special annual treat and not spike your blood sugar or gain fat around the mid-section?
Balance your blood sugar… keep your blood glucose levels in a healthy range!
- We can CHOOSE to implement some exercise breaks throughout the days in small doses – instead of just one 30-45-minute workout session and split into three 15-minute sessions.
- We can CHOOSE to make sure we are heading to bed earlier, taking time to disconnect and unplug from electronics and blue light screens.
- We can CHOOSE to spend more time outdoors in nature.
- We can CHOOSE to write in our gratitude journal or take time to meditate each day.
- We can supplement our nutritious diet with missing key co-factors the body needs to stay healthy from the inside out.
I have a trick that can help you indulge this season with a little less guilt this holiday season- plus exercise tips and low-carb holiday treats that are simple (and delicious!).
NEVER eat a carb meal without doing this first… support your blood sugar or glucose levels.
When it comes to your body fat level, controlling your blood sugar is key.
Why?
Because in the presence of high blood sugar, your body will either:
Shuttle the excess sugar into your muscles…
Or… store blood sugar in fat tissue.
There is a third option, however.
It’s a way to naturally regulate your blood sugar, optimize your body composition AND boost your potential for longevity.
Go here to learn this two-part secret my friend Ben Greenfield discovered researching two of the world’s longest-lived cultures…
Another trick I suggest implementing in the next three months is NUTRISENSE… a continuous glucose monitor that you don’t even know if connected to the back of your arm!
I used Nutri-Sense in September for 14-days and LOVED the feedback I was getting from my body to learn which foods and at what time of day influenced my blood glucose levels. The cost of the program includes 14-days with a dietician over-seeing your food log and glucose graph on the NutriSense app. I would love for you to see how your blood sugar changes during the day as well as how WHAT you eat, WHEN, WHY and HOW impacts your glucose.
Also, I found the nighttime readings interesting as well as how they may correlate to hidden internal chronic stressors as pathogens, dysbiosis and toxins that are overwhelming the liver detoxification cycle during “liver time” 1am to 3am. Every stress response is a blood sugar response so if you are experiencing chronic stress- internal and external then your cortisol levels will increase and glucose levels increase as well in response to that “emergency”. Click here to learn more and to sign up for NutriSense... especially before the New Year Resolution craziness begins. Don’t miss out!
One of our goals to avoid weight gain is to eat nutrient dense foods that keep your blood sugar balanced- avoiding the spikes and the blood sugar roller coaster.

Of course, there are MANY other tips and tricks to avoiding the holiday weight gain as well as how to optimize your health. You can connect with me here to discover more in a complimentary coaching call.

Kion Lean can assist in stabilizing energy and may help prevent unwanted weight gain—even

Kion Lean contains a combination of plant-based ingredients that have been scientifically proven to support healthy blood sugar and weight management by targeting a number of mechanisms in the body.
InnoSlim®
InnoSlim ® is a blend of highly purified and fractionated Panax not ginseng and Astragalus membranaceus. This potent nutraceutical has been shown to decrease glucose absorption and circulating blood glucose [6, 7, 8, 9, 10]. By acting on the AMP-K pathway in the body, InnoSlim® also reduces fat accumulation and may help correct the metabolic issues that lead to weight gain [11, 12].
Glycostat®
Glycostat® is a concentrated extract of wild bitter melon. It may support healthy blood sugar levels by decreasing the transport rate of glucose in the intestine and increase uptake of plasma glucose into cells. It’s been shown to act as an insulin mimetic and may promote insulin sensitivity [13].

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. When should I take Kion Lean?
Kion Lean is best taken once per day, within 30 minutes of your largest carbohydrate-containing meal. For many people, this is dinner.
2. How many servings are in one bottle?
One serving of Kion Lean is two capsules. There are 60 capsules in one bottle, so, each bottle contains 30 servings.
3. Will Kion Lean help me lose weight?
Kion Lean is not intended to be a weight loss supplement. It may promote healthy, natural weight loss and weight management by supporting healthy blood glucose levels. Irregular blood sugar levels have been tied to excess body fat and overall inflammation, so by supporting normal levels, it may address the root causes of weight gain.
4. Do I always have to take Kion Lean with food?
There are no known negative side effects of taking Kion Lean on an empty stomach. Anecdotally, some individuals say the ingredients in Kion Lean may enhance weight management properties when combined with fasted cardio or cold thermogenesis, though there are no known studies that support these claims.
5. How does Kion Lean actually work?
In studies, the ingredients in Kion Lean are shown to “increase glucose consumption in adipocytes in the absence of insulin”. Meaning Kion Lean helps improve the ability of cells to take in glucose without needing to release more insulin. In other words, it helps activate the signals for your cells to take in the glucose, independent of insulin. That’s how it can promote lower circulating blood glucose. https://www.physiology.org/doi/full/10.1152/ajpendo.00092.2009
