As we, females, enter the โTransitionalโ mid-life time of our lives, we begin to experience โrandomโ symptoms even when we donโt change anything as lifestyle habits, nutrition or exercise.ย
During our mid-life, we begin to experience changes in our estrogen receptor sites, before โperi-menopauseโ (5-10 years) and โpost menopauseโ (keep in mind- โmenopauseโ is one day in time!).ย
As I always sayโฆ โTake ownership of your health nowโ and donโt wait until you feel burned out, broken and living with โMETABOLIC CHAOSโ. ย Start making the adjustments in how you fuel, train and perform each day as an aging female athlete instead of blaming the aging process- or using โagingโ as an excuse!
Donโt wait to make those changes when you are โpost menopauseโโฆ start making those changes now so your body learns how to adapt to the external changes to replace the role of our estrogen and progesterone.
