You are in charge of you… take control and make the best decisions that will build your health, immunity and resiliency!

- Eat real nutrient dense, anti-inflammatory food when you are hungry – mindful eating vs. mindless eating!
- Exercise each day- do something challenging (HIIT) a few days a week, do yoga 2-3 times a week and lift weights (body weight) a few days a week!
- Sleep each night 7-9 hours – creating a sleep hygiene routine and staying on a sleep schedule each night. You are not on vacation- just staying at home with our new “normal” right now.
- Stress reduction- by breathing slowly as with the 4-7-8 breathing technique, also known as “relaxing breath,” involves breathing in for 4 seconds, holding the breath for 7 seconds, and exhaling for 8 seconds. - Move more during the day- so get outside at the start of the day when the sun rises…lunch break outside and evening stroll after dinner! Add quick mobility drills as “primal squatting” (booty down), reach over head and bend sideways, side lunge and reach, twist and touch your toes!
- Digest your food by sitting and focusing when eating in your “time restricted feeding” eight hour feeding window (TRF or TRE) if you are doing suggested 16-hour intermittent overnight fast. Chew your food, be present and be mindful! Digestion starts north… in the brain- so get in the “Rest and Digest” mindset (parasympathetic nervous system).
- Hydrate more throughout the day with filtered clean water – add lemon and sea salt in the morning. Drink less coffee and caffeinated beverages (max 2 cups before 12pm is my rule) and less alcohol as these are stimulants that interrupt your sleep as well as dehydrate your body!
- Happiness is key right now- find ways to play, laugh and be silly. Try to schedule video calls with loved ones as family and friends. Get outside in nature and natural sunlight … walk and look for Teddy Bears in the windows (at least in my area). Take time to write each night in your gratitude journal three things or more that you are grateful for that day and what made you happy! Make time to breathe- setting up intentions for the day and creating mantras. Inhale positive energy, joy and happiness…exhale out negativity, anxiety and sadness.
