About me… Coach Debbie Potts:
Debbie Potts has been in the health and fitness industry for well over twenty-five years and a competitive endurance athlete for twenty years- plus a low carb fat adapted athlete for over 15 years. Along her journey, she has accomplished many goals including being nominated as one of the top one hundred best trainers in the U.S. by Men’s Journal in 2004 and 2005 as well as participating in fifteen Ironman Triathlons – five of them were the Hawaii World Ironman Championship, multiple Boston Marathons and 50k Trail Races. Debbie operated her own boutique fitness studio in Bellevue Washington for ten years to offer an “all in one” health and fitness studio – including The WHOLESTIC Method low carb coaching programs, Metabolic Efficiency Testing, and personalized coaching program to feel-look-perform your best in life each day. Debbie brings her experience as a trainer, coach, and athlete into her coaching programs to help transform the whole athlete from the inside out with her unique comprehensive approach to improve fat loss, health, and performance for life now – and your future self!
Debbie has played various roles including fitness management, personal training, cycling instructor, yoga, Pilates Mat, Metabolic Efficiency Specialist, Natural Running coach, USAT coach, CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach, Superhuman Coach, Kion Coach, DNAFit Coach, Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). She has implemented Heart Rate Training and Metabolic Efficiency testing into her coaching services for over twenty years. Debbie is a speaker, blogger, podcast host (The Low Carb Athlete) and an author of “LIFE IS NOT A RACE” and “The WHOLESTIC Method Manual & Workbook”. Debbie coaches athletes of all levels how to burn fat, optimize health and improve performance. Her passion is to help others reduce external and hidden internal stressors to optimize performance in life and sports – as they train to improve their FUTURE self.
Debbie works with driven, ambitious, high performing athletes, who are struggling to get results even when doing all the “right” things, get their body and vibrant self-back again by investigation what is actually going on under the hood and put the missing pieces of their health puzzle together again to create a personalized “The WHOLESTIC Method” program.
She started her journey into low carb “zone diet’ in 2000 when she was training for “Seattle to Portland” bike ride then in 2005 she learned even more with metabolic efficiency testing and fat burning heart rate training for clients and herself as endurance athlete back. Debbie switched to more high fat, low carb fueling and fat adaptation training for endurance (Ironman training) in 2009. She began her own N = 1 fueling experiment by drinking “Bulletproof” coffee per workouts, minimal fuel during workouts, eating higher fat and lowering her carb intake when training for Ironman training, marathons, 50k trail running and long distance cycling events but in 2013 her body was broken – METABOLIC CHAOS ® resulted from doing too much of everything and gain 30 lbs without changing everything. Now Debbie coaches other driven high performers to find the right “dose” for their unique body and lifestyle.
Debbie offers next level coaching with a unique approach to help over achievers avoid chronic fatigue, break down and burn out. She trains the WHOLE athlete from the inside out with her unique “The WHOLESTIC Method” approach by implementing nutritional therapy, functional lab testing, lifestyle habits, biometrics, and genetics. Debbie is on a mission to help other aging athletes thrive each day instead of survive! Don’t use age as an excuse- instead embrace the aging process and adapt.
