What is a Nutritional Therapist?

What is the Nutritional Therapy Association and what is an NTP?

It’s Foundational

At the NTA, we believe that many of the health problems plaguing modern society are the result of poor nutrition. The NTA is dedicated to helping healthcare professionals understand and reverse the negative effects of the modern Western diet on their patients and clients. The educational philosophy of the NTA is founded on four key areas: bio-individuality, transformative education, and functional nutrition.

BIO INDIVIDUALITY

We’re all different. There is no one-size-fits-all diet for everyone. Each of us is unique with highly individualized nutritional requirements.

TRANSFORMATIVE EDUCATION

We’re mold breakers. We teach clients to become paradigm shifters. Our goal is to reconnect people to healing foods and vibrant health.

FUNCTIONAL NUTRITION

We’re scientifically minded. The Nutritional Therapy Training program is focused on a holistic, evidence-based, comprehensive and personalized approach to health and healing.

The Nutritional Therapy Association is dedicated to:

To deliver a science-based education that equips and connects a community of confident holistic nutrition professionals to harness the power of real food, reconnecting each person to the unique needs and innate wisdom of their bodies to support lasting wellness.

We practice what we preach, honoring ancestral wisdom, focusing on The Foundations, and enjoying real food.

A Leader in the Change of the Nutritional Paradigm

“The Nutritional Therapy Association (NTA) changes the paradigm of nutrition by delivering an ancestral perspective with integrity that’s rooted in the power of real food and scientific function of the body. We go beyond food to include agricultural economic justice and environmental sustainability, championing sustainable local and organic food production, and the environment.

The NTA’s passionate community has one dedicated focus: to deliver a science-based education that equips and connects a community of confident holistic nutrition professionals to harness the power of real food, reconnecting each person to the unique needs and innate wisdom of their bodies to support lasting wellness.“

What is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP)?

“A program encompassing the NTA’s foundational and bio-individual approach to functional, holistic nutrition. NTPs are equipped to support the body’s innate ability to heal by addressing the importance of nutrient-dense food, lifestyle choices, culinary wellness, client coaching, and how social and personal components influence health.

The program takes an in-depth look at the function and dysfunction of each body system, food quality and sourcing, culinary skills, meal planning, health and wellness barriers and influences, emotional well-being, environmental factors, the importance of sleep and movement, as well as stress and its effect on the body.”
