How can you measure your workout effort? We are using MYZONE at Fitness Forward for clients workouts in the studio and for their own workouts. We track and measure their workout effort with MYZONE Effort Points = MEPS
Using a heart rate monitor for your workouts has always been a tool in my training for twenty years. Now we are able to add the technology to my fitness studio for my clients using MYZONE. You can benefit from heart rate training yourself with MYZONE or any monitor that you prefer using but realize how to use it to your advantage. Our goal at Fitness Forward Studio is to educate and motivate our clients to work hard when it is a hard high effort workout then stay aerobic when a recovery workout as well as keep their heart rate aerobic when doing strength training workout (see “Exercise Merger” blog). We are now able to keep client’s heart rate elevated during their workouts then motivate them to work harder by earning a set goal MEP’s and with our monthly challenges with incentives (prizes!).
