This week, Debbie talks with her old friend and former co-host Brock Skywalker Armstrong about the Bulletproof biohacking conference.
This year, the conference focused on “spiritual” elements as well as hardcore biohacking measures. What that meant is simply a greater focus on measures that a person might take to improve their levels of happiness and the ability to bring balance to their life.
A highlight from the Tech Hall was the ARX fitness machine. This workout machine make small alterations to the amount of resistance applied throughout your movement. This means that it can ensure that you are exerting maximum force throughout. As a result, every rep is maximum effort and you can exercise efficiently in as few as three reps.
There was also something called the bioDensity machine. This machine doesn’t actually move at all, rather it places your joints in optimal biomechanical positions and then applies intense pressure to them, simulating the pressure of impact. The focus is largely on building bone density.
After their conversation, it’s clear that the biohacking conference is no longer just about biohacking, but is bringing forward approaches that will improve your lifestyle in a variety of ways. This ranges from electrical currents to making sure you journal before going to bed.
