What makes you happy?

Five years ago my life changed from what I knew it to be… and I was too busy to pay attention to all of the red flags and warning signs that got me to that place in March 2013.

My life as a competitive top-age group triathlete came to an end… or on hold five years ago.  A year of recovery and rebuilding turned into now five years.  My lesson learned from my addiction to busyness and “adrenal exhaustion” has brought me to where I am today on the mission to educate others on LIVING LIFE AS A RACE each day and the side effects.  You may be able to bounce back from exhaustion or fatigue in a few weeks or a month but some of you could be like me and taking years to recover.

Why has it taken me five years to heal, rebuild and renew myself?

We all have to find what makes us HAPPY and what brings us joy in life each day.  Finding happiness also means to LET GO of negative emotions, triggers and people.  Yes- sometimes you need to DETOX your life and eliminate those energy robbers in order to find your happy place and to regain adrenal health.

What are your sources of stress in your life?  Toxins and toxic people.

For me it was a person that caused daily stress, anxiety and anger as well as constant financial stress in my job.  Owning and operating my own fitness studio with a huge rent each month causes me ongoing sources of stress.  My good friend said she had to choose happiness over making more money.  Sometimes you need to adjust your budget and spend less to find more happiness instead of taking a job that exhausts your or creates another source of stress in your life. Money doesn’t bring happiness for everyone.

Do you fill your daily cup with positive vibes, energy and attitude?  My mantra for 2018 is POSITIVITY which means to me positive energy, positive vibes, positive attitude and positive mindset.

What is your intention for this year?  What is your word?

Perhaps we need to press “control-alternate-delete” to reset and reboot our internal stress system (HPA-Axis).  Alter our mindset and identity changes as we grow into different phases and stages of life!  New doors open as new adventures and experience transform us into new and improve human beings- not human doers.

Surround yourself with people that force you to better.  

Find your passion for your purpose.  What is my purpose?  To help you avoid going through what I have the past five years by educating you on the elements of ‘The WHOLESTIC Method’.  Maybe people will eventually stop asking me “when is the next race Debbie” and start asking me “when is the next book coming out Debbie?” or “when is the next seminar you are giving Debbie?”

What is next for me besides continue to heal and rebuild my adrenals plus other body systems? I continue to learn more about the skills needed to become a successful Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and researching for my new free E-book on my website. The podcast will continue to offer biohacks for The WHOLE Athlete to improve their performance in life and triathlons.
