Show Notes:

-Cholesterol is essential for body function (good and bad chol.)

-Statin drugs lower LDLC +total cholesterol

-Cholesterol helps aid in anything causing/raising inflammation in the body

-Inflammation is raised by: carbohydrates (refined) and vegetable oils (manmade fat) canola oil, seed oil, etc…

-HDL = good cholesterol LDLC = bad cholesterol

-NMR lypo profile test, specific number of LDL particles test

-HDL >50, Triglycerides<100   HDL<50, Triglycerides>100

-Blood sugar =>140 too high, too many carbohydrates

-LDL should be below 70 mg/dl

-HDL should be below 40mg/dl (men), 50 mg/dl (women)

-HSCRP test for inflammation, number under 3.0 is good, less than 1.0 is optimal

-Statin drugs may causing joint injury

-“High cholesterol” is not a disease

-High cholesterol in eggs is a “myth”

-Sugar in foods and in the body is the real culprit

-Chronic health problems tied to poor nutrition

-To lower risk of heart disease, eat foods that are anti-inflammatory, stress and lack of sleep can raise inflammation

-Saturated fat is NOT inflammatory, green leafy vegetables are good, non-starchy foods are good to eat as well
