PNOE Metabolic Testing Preparation Information

How to prepare for the RESTING (RMR) Metabolic Test:

  1. No intense exercise within 24-hours
  2. Wear appropriate workout clothes
  3. Bring appropriate shoes
  4. Bring fresh clothing and snack if needed for after the test
  5. Test is in three parts
    1. Warm-up
    2. Main set
    3. Recovery

 

How to complete an RMR Protocol for the Practitioner:

  1. No intense exercise for last 24 hours
  2. Fasted at least five hours before test
  3. No smoking
  4. No caffeine or energy drinks five hours before the test
  5. Water is okay within five hour test
  6. Same steps as exercise test but choose RMR test – lasts 10-15 minutes

 

How to prepare for the Exercise/Active Metabolic Test:
