Why Nutritional Therapy?
We hear the word nutrition a lot, and typically it refers to a diet that we may be on, or one we want to start. Diets tend to change our eating habits for a short amount of time, but then we fall straight back into the old routine and reverse everything the diet has done for us. Studies show that 95% of people who go on a diet, fail. There is a great reason for this:
People don’t fail on the diets, the diets fail them.
Most diets do not teach you how to be successful after the diet is over. Most diets do not teach you how your body functions. Most diets do not look for the imbalances and nutrient deficiencies within your body to figure out exactly what you need in order to be successful.
This is why Nutritional Therapy is much different than your standard diets.
In Nutritional Therapy, we spend the time working with you to discover what your body needs in order to reach the goals you desire. Every single person has their own genetic makeup and needs that impact the way their body reacts towards different foods. It is our job to figure out what deficiencies you have, and how to correct these so your body can function at its optimal level.
We tend to push nutrition to the side, not really realizing the impact it has on the body. What people don’t realize is that nutrients are literally the building blocks of the body. Every single cell in the body needs proper nutrition in order to function. If you go a couple days without food or water, you cannot perform at the best level that you can. If you are eating poorly and are still performing decently, imagine how well you could perform if you were feeding your body properly.
If you listen to all the functional medicine docs, they all are changing the way they practice by prescribing less meds and more dietary changes. They know how important nutrition is to the body, and it is exactly what nutritional therapists have been saying for years.
Even though we practice nutritional therapy, we still are focusing on the entire body and making the entire system function optimally. We look at how the organs are working, how the adrenals are functioning, if there is an excess of toxicity in the body, and so much more. Nutritional therapy isn’t just for someone looking to lose weight, it is for anyone who has a health problem, trying to perform better, or want to prevent excess wear and tear on their body.
Right now we are running a special on a 3-session package of nutritional therapy for $395. To find out more, contact info@fitnessforwardstudio.com
