How do you know if you are balancing your blood sugar unless you measure it? Don’t guess – test it! At least for 30-days to learn about how foods impact your blood sugar, energy and sleep.
My favorite kit for clients is the Keto Mojo. Make sure you test your blood sugar in the morning then try again post meal around two hours. We are all unique individuals with different food sensitivities and gut biome– as well as stress levels. I always tell clients and keto Facebook groups that you need to test your blood sugar and/or ketones to make sure you are eating the right macronutrient ratios for you as well as not to forget to eat lots of organic low-carb vegetables with moderate protein and healthy fats.
The other concern I have of people jumping into a strict keto diet is their level of stress as most people are “living life as a race.
Then the last concern I have is our digestion – are you able to digest your fats correctly and absorb your nutrients. Most of us need to add digestive enzymes and HCL betaine to create the right acidic environment in the stomach to help the digestive process before the food moves into the next phase- the small intestine.
If you are struggling with losing weight even if you are cutting back on sugars, grains and excess carbohydrates while replacing those carbs with healthy sources of fats and moderate grass-fed/wild caught/free-range protein sources.
Remember you should feel energized and satiated for hours after your meal – not experiencing sugar cravings or drop off energy or headaches (low-sugar).
Our goal is to stabilize the blood sugar to avoid the insulin surges so we can shift to a fat-burning metabolism so test… don’t guess with a testing kit as KETO MOJO.
