Sometimes LESS is more.  What is the optimal amount to create a positive response in the body?

Let’s talk about yeast.  we all have some yeast in our body but if we get too much, as with anything, it can lead to imbalances and dysfunction.

What is Candida?

Candidiasis is a fungal infection caused by a yeast (a type of fungus) called Candida. Some species of Candida can cause infection in people; the most common is Candida albicans. Candida normally lives on the skin and inside the body, in places such as the mouth, throat, gut, and vagina, without causing any problems.-

For years, I have been on a mission to figure out what happened to my body and WHY did I lose my vibrant self!?!  WHY me? 

I was struggling alone for years on my health journey as I reached out to many doctors, practitioners, chiropractors and naturopaths on a mission to get answers and RESULTS!  I wanted my fit, lean, strong athletic body back as well as my vibrant, energetic happy self-back again.  I was struggling with unexplained weight gain- even though I was eating real, nutrient dense, whole foods plus intermittent fasting (before it was a thing) and fasted morning workouts.  Perhaps I was eating too little and exercising too much – on top off living life as a race as a small business owner who was constantly multi-tasking and “busy” from the time I woke up (too early!) until I hit the pillow (too late).

I was addicted to being busy! 

As an ambitious, high performing individual, I was constantly doing something – and if I was not busy or occupied with a job, workout or task, then I would feel lazy, unproductive or a failure. 

Since our world-wide pandemic in 2020, I didn’t realize how little I changed my busy lifestyle!  This past year, as with everyone else, my daily life schedule changed as my work schedule training and coaching clients stopped in the middle of March 2020.  My work switched to coaching clients on ZOOM conference calls from my home office! 

Yes, we all probably discovered some positive benefits from the past year, including not sitting in traffic each day and decreasing (dramatically) our commute time.  Perhaps we realized how important taking responsibility for our own health is an essential part of the solution to restore our worldwide health, happiness and vitality!  Staying home alone, social distancing and hiding behind face masks to stay safe- doesn’t help us GET HEALTHY and teach us how to improve our immune system to fight the viruses off naturally.

I took time last March 2020, to run new functional lab tests to find out how strong my immune system was, so I could improve my resiliency with a specific individualized health building protocol. 

From my Vibrant Wellness Food Zoomers, GI Map, DUTCH test and OATS test, I was able to collect clues to my imbalances, areas of opportunity, and to create an individualized protocol to restore my health to optimal levels. 

In my years on my quest to get answers to my own health crisis, no one ran an Organic Acids test on me nor a DUTCH hormone test.  Most the tests were just hormone test with saliva, a simple stool test, and blood tests. 

The OATS test revealed clues to my “METABOLIC CHAOS®” that helped understand and correlate with the other lab test results plus my own health concerns and symptoms.

Mold toxicity and Candida overgrowth – along with dysbiosis and parasite.  No wonder why my mitochondria were struggling, and my liver was overwhelmed with excess work to detox these bad guys – or HIDDEN internal sources of stress.

    • You were delivered by C-section and missed out on the good bacteria from the birth canal.

    • You grew up on the Standard American Diet of added sugars, dairy products, and processed foods.
    • You eat and/or crave carbs such as bread, pasta or starchy vegetables; sugar; and/or alcohol. 
    • You eat fermented foods which can feed Candida.

    • Antibiotics can kill off good bacteria in your gut.
    • NSAIDS disrupt your microbiome.
    • Steroids weaken the immune system.

Following a low carb diet– even Carnivore, may help your candida overgrowth as well as supplementing with anti-fungals such as oregano oil, olive leaf extract, golden seal or caprilyic acid. 

Don’t get stuck in the cycle of “Trial and Error”– instead work with a health practitioner that can help you put all the missing pieces of your health puzzle together by investigating what is actually going on than looking at the big picture.  Too many practitioners and doctors treat the symptoms, and the lab test results – rather than treating the WHOLE person!
