Do you FLOAT?

Do you FLOAT?

As I experiment with “bio-hacking” the recovery process and striving to slow down the aging process- I have been trying out different treatments for myself and for our podcast The WHOLE Athlete!

URBAN FLOAT is in Seattle/Bellevue area and I have been wanting to try to FLOAT for the past year… so I scheduled a podcast interview with Joe the co-founder and went to check out what FLOATING was all about!

Floating has many mental and emotional benefits as you float in a tank for 60 minutes- in the dark.  I did have some music playing (meditation spa type of tunes) in the background while I closed my eyes and floated away for an hour.  The time goes by very quickly and you finally learn how to LET GO!

Here are some of the FLOATING Benefits:  more at www.urbanfloat.com/studies

  • decreases stress
  • increases mindfulness
  • improves mental focus

Now if you have read my book LIFE IS NOT A RACE then you for sure understand the importance of needing to improve mental focus and mindfulness especially for me as the word FOCUS is often my mantra!

Now the emotional benefits from floating are just as important…

  • decreases anxiety
  • reduces symptoms of depression
  • increases optimism
  • improves feelings of well-being

All of these benefits from floating relate to one of my eight elements of The WHOELSTIC Method: STRESS management!  Read more about how to manage and lower stressors in your life in my new manual and workbook on Amazon.  Click here to order your copy today!
