The Struggle is REAL! Chronic Stress vs. Fat Adapted

Every day I hear personal stories about struggles with life stress – external stressors plus we have internal HIDDEN stressors that we are not aware of are contributing to our chronic stress load.

The struggle is real.

We can’t become fat adapted and burn fat as our main fuel source if we are running from a lion all day long!

Every stress response is a blood sugar response. In my 30-day online coaching program, we work on address at least one of the eight elements of The WHOLESTIC Method Program. We work on fasting, one meal a day, restricting our carbohydrates and measuring our ketones. What we eat isn’t the only part of becoming fat adapted and losing fat weight while we gain lean muscle. Transforming the WHOLE you from the inside out to burn fat, optimize our mitochondria function and improving performance for tackling daily tasks is our goal in The WHOLESTIC Method program.

We start with learning what to eat, but also when to eat and how to eat!

Optimal nutrition is different for everyone… there is no “one-size-fits-all” solution for all of us!

The main goal is to relax, unplug and improve our digestion while eating a whole food nutrient dense diet that balances our blood sugar to avoid insulin surges.

If we can balance our blood sugar (good easy test to do daily for 30 days!), then we are teaching our body to access the fat calories we have stored in our cells to use as energy – instead of depending on constant eating and refueling to keep burning sugar as our main fuel (remember the kindling wood vs. log analogy?).

Carbs are not evil – but it is how much we consume per day and how it impacts our blood sugar levels.

Carbohydrates are neither “good” nor “bad,” they are just a class of molecule where carbon is attached to water. They can be used as an effective source of energy or become a toxic substance, if abused. Throughout most of human history, they were a luxury item only available in warmer months. Something most people fail to realize is that in history, carbs helped us gain valuable body fat in preparation for times of lower carbohydrate availability. We’ve known for generations that high carbohydrate intake increases insulin response and causes our fat cells to store fat. This means excess sugar and highly processed carbs cause fatness.”  (Dr. Anthony Gustin, founder of www.perfectketo.com)

A ketogenic diet isn’t necessary for everyone long term but more of a jumpstart, reset and cyclical eating plan- or phase three 80/20 plan.  You may have discovered your focus, attention, and clarity improved this week as well as your skin, energy, inflammation and many other benefits from getting off a typical high carb food plan.   Whether your goal is to improve fat loss, decrease inflammation, digestive health, disease, brain health or sports performance, you probably already feel some of those benefits this short period of time – more motivation to continue to phase two with the group or on your own.

We will run this five day fat loss Jumpstart , Reset and Detox each month to keep you on track and reaching your health goals – as well as slow down the aging process!  You don’t have to give up the foods you used to love- but replace them with even better tasting, satisfying and filling delicious foods!  You just have to re-learn how to shop, cook and eat!

Transform the WHOLE you from the inside out wig The WHOLESTIC Method Program to burn fat, optimize health and to improve performance!
