Debbie Potts…
Debbie Smith-Potts was a product of her environment. Growing up Debbie always “dieted” with the newest “nonfat/high carb” plan, believing it was the weight loss solution. She worked out for hours and never saw the desired changes. After 20 years in the industry and 12 years of racing, Debbie debated the high carb diet. It has been her mission to learn the proper fueling for performance and fat loss. She is the Founder of Fitness Forward Studio which offers quality, efficient and challenging metabolic interval training workouts, personal training and coaching. Debbie also creating an effective “21 days to becoming Fat Adapted” challenge to help clients become fat burning machines. Debbie has appeared in Reflections, 425 Magazine, KOMO TV and regularly as the co-host on the Garden Variety Triathlete podcast. Debbie has been nationally recognized two times as the Men’s Health top 100 trainers. As an athlete Debbie walks the talk as she has been a member of Mark Allen Online elite triathlon team for the last eight years. She has regularly places top in her age group and qualified for the IM World Championships. Always striving to be on the cutting edge of the fitness industry, Debbie has become a member of the “SUPERHUMAN COACH” program and Todd Durkin’s MASTERMIND group. Debbie has been a leader in the fitness industry for 20 years and always a step ahead! Debbie opened up Fitness Forward Studio to offer her unique “all in one” 45-50 minute interval training with metabolic intervals before it was a trend. Debbie, a top ranked triathlete, coaches clients for running and triathlon events. Debbie specializes in correct biomechanics, natural running form, metabolic efficiency and proper nutrition. To help her clients be top athletes and lose fat weight, she integrates heart rate training, metabolic efficiency testing, high intensity intervals and functional movements into training programs. To help clients lose fat weight and increase performance, she created her “Rapid Fat Loss” 21 day challenges with 50% calories from good fats and eliminate common food allergens. Eat right, train right and get results!
Signature Workout…
Debbie’s signature FITNESS FORWARD INTERVAL TRAINING (FFIT) is all about getting results with high intensity intervals and core strength with functional. Explosive movements and proper alignment. Her workouts are efficient and include a little bit of everything based on the client’s movement assessment, goals and sports. Debbie includes a dynamic 3-D warm-up, stability, functional strength, Plyometrics, agility, speed work as well as some Myofascial release with foam rollers, yoga and Pilates Mat…all in 50 minutes. Debbie specializes in functional movements with proper form and alignment… there is no cheating or compensating form with Debbie as your trainer. Clients are to supplement their “FFIT” workouts with training for a race as a half marathon or triathlon. Debbie coaches clients individually and requires her clients to add two metabolic interval workouts per week to improve their sports performance as well as decrease risk of injuries. Debbie tests the body fat of her clients monthly and conducts metabolic assessments on the treadmill to determine “fat burning” and “sugar burning” zones. She teaches clients how to become metabolically efficiently with her workouts, coaching and “clean eating” nutrition guidelines (even grocery shopping field trip).
