You have 30 minutes to exercise…what to do?

What is the most effective type of exercise to do if you are trying to burn fat and boost your metabolism?  You only have 30 minutes at the gym.

What would you pick?

a.  30 minutes on the cardio machine at low heart rate walking, easy bike or EFX

b.  Yoga, foam roller and mobility work

c.  Strength training with cardio blasts (high intensity interval) in between sets

My answer:

It depends on the individual.

How do we become fat burning machines with the type of exercise we do each day or week?

It depends.

1.  If you have been exercising and build up foundation or base then select strength training with 20, 30 or 60 seconds cardio blasts in between rounds.

2.  If you are experiencing lots of stress then go for a low heart rate walk, hike or easy spin.
