Fueling, Training and Performing

I have been in the fitness industry for over twenty years somehow.   I started out loving nutrition and exercise in high school then discovered it was a degree in college!  Over the years, I have evolved into a trainer or rather a coach that loves to help clients with more than a 30 minute to 60 minute workout.  Our tag line for the studio I own  and my podcast is FUEL, TRAIN and PERFORM.

We don’t only train our clients but we coach them.  Personal Training at Fitness Forward Studio is not just about exercising…we coach our clients on FUELING, TRAINING and PERFORMING right for life and for sports.

Over the years I have created a 21 day “Waist Watchers” program that changed to a “21 Day Rapid Fat Loss” challenge to a “Sugar Detox” challenge which is really now an individual “Wholestic” fat loss and health program.

If you haven’t figured out yet, exercise isn’t the only part of losing weight or being healthy.  We need to fuel, train and perform right….how do we do that?  Well we need to look at the WHOLE picture and take the WHOLEistic approach to fat loss and health to improve performance in daily life as well as in sports.

We look at clients:

1. SLEEP:  do they sleep through the night?  Solid 7-9 hours per night?

2. STRESS:  How do they rate their stress everyday?  How do they manage their stress?  What is their HRV every morning?

3.  EXERCISE:  Do they exercise aerobically only?  Do they do any interval training?  Strength work?  Core training?

4. NUTRITION:  Do they eat processed foods?  Sugar?  Gluten?  Cook at home or eat out?

5.  MOVEMENT:  How long do you sit during the day?  How many steps do you take per day?

6. DIGESTION:  How is your stomach after eating?  Poopy police lineup review.

7.  BONUS:  LAB TESTING & SUPPLEMENTS.
