Part One: Holiday Health Survival Hacks for this Season! | DebbiePotts.netWe often get busy during the holiday season with shopping, events, dinners and parties then suddenly we are feeling bloated, heavy, tired and inflammed. 

We often wait until New Year’s Day to get started on losing weight and taking care of ourselves. 

I want to enjoy the holiday season as well including my favorite holiday cookies but we can bake and cook foods that are not filled with refined sugars, vegetable oils and processed ingredients.

Take Care of the WHOLE you this holiday season! 

Here are some of my favorite online shopping links to send me clients who are looking for energy during the holidays.  Perhaps you plan ahead when you have an event or dinner party and do a bone broth fast during the day.  One of my favorite broths to order online is Kettle and Fire.  You can drink filtered water, bone broth and green drinks on your fasting days in between the parties and other holiday events.

Another one of my new favorite energy drinks to have my liquid nutrition each morning is by Athletic Greens.  We just set up auto-ship for ourselves and the promo right now includes single serve packets great for traveling plus a shaker bottle.  I have been enjoying making my Athletic Greens each morning and heating up the Bone Broth to take to work with me…and I stay full and satisfied until lunchtime or when I have my main meal of the day (easier for me during the week workdays to eat OMAD!).  I make sure we do intermittant fasting each night -16 hours ideally for improving the aging process and longevity!

Now I know we are often burning the candles at both ends during the holidays with events after work and then early morning workouts or meetings. 

SLEEP is a major element of my program, THE WHOLESTIC METHOD

We often take sleep for granted and don’t get our suggested 7-9 hours of sleep per night.  After my experience in 2013 with Adrenal Exhaustion (HPA Axis dysfunction), I really take my sleep seriously and do all the “sleep hacks” that I can without spending much money. 

Doterra Essential Oils | DebbiePotts.netOne trick I love is drinking sleep herbal tea before bed then setting up our room to be the ideal sleep environment- dark, cold and relaxing with essential oils (lavender) in the diffuser.  I have tried Young Living Essential Oils and Doterra essential oils

Another trick is to wear blue blocking glasses as Swannies before bedtime – if you have to be on your computer before bed or if reading on electronic devices (in airplane mode!) close to bedtime.

Another trick I have been adding before bedtime is taking one to two capsules of BIOCBD to help me relax on stressful busy days!

I like to take care of my skin with a good natural organic scrub, cleansing cream and re-hydrate before bed  as I am getting older and often outside in the afternoon exercising (getting my vitamin D).  Every Sunday, my husband and I do a clay mud mask together!

What are your favorite toxic free facial products to use?  That is my next research project.
