Lose the distractions during your workouts…

The next time you go to workout at your gym take a look around. How many people are using their cell phones for their music? Then observe how many times they check and respond to emails, text and social media updates! We are addicted! I admit I have been using my Iphone to exercise as I listen to Pandora during my workouts but then it is too easy to see a text appear on the screen or an email then scroll through Facebook while we are on the cardio machines.

We need to get control of our constant need to stay connect with society… and take time out to disconnect and focus on one thing. My goal is to leave my cell phone in my locker or even in my car during my workouts so I am not available or distracted during my workouts. My workout is my time… time to clear my head and focus on me.

Try leaving your cell phone in a different room, bag or in your car during your workout session. If you are looking for music to keep you motivated during your workout then download music onto your Ipod. I will do the same! I promise if you promise!
