I was listening to a client talk about how much he loved Thanksgiving Holiday because it had nothing to do with gifts.ย Thanksgiving Holiday is a day people spend with all of their family members for a big meal and give thanks for those in their lives.ย Versus Christmas holiday for a lot of people ends up being about how much you spend on each family member and how many gifts you get or give.ย True?
Either way I think we need toย have an attitude of gratitude…ย an headline I notice inย the newspaper that a friend from reading yesterday.ย Attitude of gratitude… what does that mean?
We shouldย switch our mindset andย attitude of the holiday season to be more grateful of who is in our lives, what we have in our lives and whatย we are able to do in our lives each day.
Do you find yourself getting more stressedย out during the busy holiday season instead of blissed out?ย We end of overscheduled with work, holiday shopping,ย cooking, baking and social events that we lose touch with the magic of the season.ย We should be slowingย down and soaking up the holiday glitter, glow and goodness as it only happens once a year.
I want toย have the attitude of gratitude of my live and the people around me plus enjoy the holiday lights,ย decorations and smells of the season.ย ย ย Take time to enjoy the season by sitting around our holiday decorated living room with the lights and candles glowing with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra playing in the background.
Buying gifts for others is enjoyable to me but I am not worried about if the gift is $10 or $100 for the person but finding the personal gift that is meaningful and symbolic.
What do you love about the holiday season?
What are you grateful for in your life?
